BIWIN Black Opal DW100 adds AMD EXPO ULL support
BIWIN has added AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency (EXPO ULL) certification to its Black Opal DW100 DDR5 RGB memory kit, giving the 48GB (24GB x2) DDR5-6000 CL28 configuration additional memory timing optimizations on compatible AMD platforms.
Unlike a standard EXPO profile that primarily configures memory frequency and primary timings, EXPO ULL also incorporates fine-tuned secondary and tertiary sub-timings. For the DW100, these adjustments are designed to reduce memory latency while maintaining its DDR5-6000 operating speed.
Once paired with a compatible AMD processor, motherboard, and supported BIOS, the EXPO ULL profile can be enabled directly through the BIOS. This provides the additional tuning without requiring users to manually configure individual memory timings.
The DW100 itself is built around selected Hynix memory ICs and an unlocked PMIC to support higher-performance DDR5 operation and overclocking. It also uses BIWIN’s three-fin cooling design to increase the heatsink surface area for heat dissipation during demanding workloads.
On the aesthetics side, the modules feature customizable RGB lighting with compatibility across major motherboard lighting control software.
With the new certification, the Black Opal DW100 DDR5-6000 CL28 combines its existing high-speed configuration with deeper memory timing optimization aimed specifically at supported AMD systems.
