BIWIN announces extension of Acer licensing deal for storage and memory products
BIWIN has renewed its official licensing agreement with Acer, extending a partnership that has been in place since 2020 and covering the design, manufacturing, and global distribution of Acer- and Predator-branded storage and memory products. Under the new multi-year agreement, BIWIN will continue developing personal storage, DRAM, and memory cards for both brands, combining its manufacturing and engineering capabilities with Acer’s global distribution reach.
For Acer, the portfolio covers mainstream storage and memory upgrades, including 2.5-inch SATA SSDs such as the SA100 and RE100, as well as PCIe Gen3, Gen4, and Gen5 NVMe drives. The FA300 series sits at the higher end of the lineup, with read speeds of up to 11,000 MB/s.
The Acer range also includes DDR4 and DDR5 SO-DIMM and UDIMM modules for laptops and desktops, with speeds of up to 7200 MT/s and capacities reaching 32GB per module. Its flash storage lineup spans microSD, SD, CompFlash, and CFexpress formats, with the MSC300 microSD series offering transfer speeds of up to 170 MB/s alongside V30 and 4K video ratings.
Predator’s lineup, meanwhile, is aimed more squarely at gaming and enthusiast systems. Its storage range includes PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 NVMe SSDs such as the GM7 and GM9000 series, with flagship models reaching read speeds above 14,000 MB/s. Selected drives also use dedicated heatsinks or graphene thermal pads for thermal management.
The Predator memory lineup includes the Pallas II, Vesta II, Hermes, and Hera series, featuring DDR4 and DDR5 modules with hand-screened ICs, aluminum heatsinks, RGB lighting, and support for Intel XMP and AMD EXPO.
For portable storage, the Predator GP30 external SSD adds USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 connectivity for PC, console, and media storage applications.
BIWIN says the extended agreement will support further development of next-generation PCIe and DDR products, while Acer and Predator storage and memory products will continue to be sold globally through their respective storage platforms.
