Samsung rolls out Health app update previewing next-gen Galaxy Watch AI health features
Samsung has launched a major update to Samsung Health, offering a preview of the upcoming Galaxy Watch’s new AI-powered health features and enhanced wellness experience.
The latest Samsung Health update introduces several new AI-powered wellness features designed to provide deeper health insights and more personalized guidance. New additions include Vitals, which analyzes five overnight bio-signals—heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen—to detect meaningful changes in a user’s condition, and Heart Health Score, a unified metric that combines sleep, stress, activity, and body composition data to offer a clearer view of long-term cardiovascular wellness.
For fitness enthusiasts, Daily Cardio Load helps optimize training intensity and recovery by tracking accumulated cardiovascular strain, while Fitness Index evaluates metrics such as heart rate, VO2 max, and daily steps to benchmark performance and provide tailored fitness recommendations.
Samsung has also redesigned the Samsung Health interface with five core wellness categories—Sleep, Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness, and Vitals—making it easier to access AI-powered insights, Energy Score data, and daily wellness recommendations from a centralized dashboard.
In addition, existing features have been enhanced with deeper personalization. The Antioxidant Index now includes trend tracking and history logs to better connect dietary habits with physical responses, while the upgraded AGEs Index automatically monitors long-term lifestyle impacts through overnight measurements. Plus, the brand has introduced a new Hearing Health feature that works across the Galaxy ecosystem, using Galaxy Watch to monitor ambient noise levels and provide insights to help protect users’ hearing in daily environments.
