Malaysian can soon find Midea products in 99 Speed Mart thanks to new partnership

Midea is making it easier for Malaysians to pick up its home appliances with a new retail partnership that brings the brand to 99 Speed Mart stores nationwide. The collaboration marks another step in Midea’s expansion strategy, giving consumers more convenient access to its products while strengthening the company’s presence in one of Malaysia’s largest retail networks.

The partnership was officially sealed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Midea and 99 Speed Mart. Representing Midea at the signing were Managing Director Mark Tam, with Midea Group APAC Region President Zeal Jiang serving as witness. 99 Speed Mart was represented by Chief Operating Officer Yong Eng Kwang, while Executive Director and CEO Lee Thiam Wah witnessed the signing.

According to Midea Malaysia Managing Director Mark Tam, the partnership helps the company bring its latest home appliance technologies to more consumers while complementing its existing brand stores and authorised dealer network. Leveraging 99 Speed Mart’s extensive nationwide presence also aligns with the retailer’s Near n’ Save approach, allowing shoppers to conveniently purchase home appliances during their regular visits.

For 99 Speed Mart, the collaboration also represents an expansion beyond its traditional product categories. Founder and CEO Lee Thiam Wah said the partnership enables the retailer to offer trusted home appliance solutions alongside everyday essentials, giving customers greater convenience through its nationwide network.
