Samsung hosts Haus of Fold Roadshow for new Galaxy Z series in Malaysia
Samsung has launched its Haus of Fold Roadshow in Malaysia, marking the arrival of the new Galaxy Z Series and reinforcing its position as what the company calls the Malaysian’s Choice of Foldable.
Following the global reveal of the new foldables at Galaxy Unpacked, the Galaxy Z Fold8 has already drawn strong interest locally, with Samsung reporting heavy pre-order traffic on its website for the Lavender and Graphite colorways.
Charles Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia, thanked Malaysians for making the Galaxy Z Series their choice of foldable, saying the response from both consumers and media reflects how foldables are becoming part of everyday life. He framed this generation of Galaxy Z devices as another chapter in foldable innovation, adding that the real question for consumers now isn’t whether to own a foldable, but which one fits their lifestyle best.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 introduces a new form factor aimed at offering a more immersive experience while staying practical for daily use, with Samsung positioning the device as a way for Malaysians to move seamlessly between work, entertainment, and everything in between.
The roadshow also leaned into local cultural moments, timed around Malaysia’s 69th year of independence this month. Actors Syafiq Kyle, Mimi Lana, Kamal Adli, and Anas Ridzuan, the leads of the upcoming action thriller Takluk 2: Op Daulat!, made an appearance to preview the film’s trailer and share their experience filming with the Galaxy Z Series. Malaysian icon Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza also made a guest appearance, sharing her own experience using the Galaxy Z Fold8.
On the software side, several familiar Malaysian apps have been adapted for the Fold8’s new form factor, including Ambank, CelcomDigi, Gigi Coffee, GSC Cinemas, iQIYI, Maybank, Maxis, and ZUS Coffee, aimed at making it easier for users to bring their everyday routines into the foldable experience.
They are also inviting the public to join the roadshow to experience these devices live to find out how they actually drive users to a better life on a daily basis, while offering more rewards for those who are buying, as there’s exclusive rebates from Samsung and participating banks, as well as Samsung Rewards Points Booster and free iQIYI Premium VIP subscription for 1-year to sweeten the deal.
