OPPO F9 Launched in Malaysia

The OPPO F9 has been officially launched in Malaysia. The sixth generation OPPO F series, in addition to its iconic selfie functions, it also comes with the company’s signature VOOC flash charge, dual rear cameras and mesmerising design.

Less than 4 months after the launch of OPPO F7, here comes the OPPO F9. As you can see, there are 3 major upgrades for the latest iteration of the OPPO F series smartphone.
Waterdrop Screen Design & Gradient Colours
As what our sister site previously covered during the first hands-on session with the phone. The OPPO F9 has a unique take on the display notch by shaping it as a waterdrop. The phone also has a diamond under glass design pattern with gradient colours.
VOOC Flash Charge
For the very first time, the VOOC Flash Charge is making its way to the OPPO F-series. It is a feature that has been exclusively available on the R-series. Now selfie-lovers can enjoy the benefits of fast charging on the OPPO F9. Our previous experience in using the R9s Plus (4000mAh), the VOOC Flash Charge can charge the battery from 11% to 92% in 59 minutes. That is an amazing feat.
Dual Rear Camera
Further blurring the line between the F-series and R-series is the introduction of the dual camera for the F9. The new rear camera is a combination between 16MP primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor for artificial bokeh effect.
Pricing & Availability
While other countries will have both 4GB (non-Pro) and 6GB RAM (Pro) variants, Malaysians will only have the 6GB+64GB option and it will be called as OPPO F9 without the Pro to avoid confusions.
Priced at RM1399, OPPO F9 will be available to pre-order from 16th August 2018 until 29th August 2018. Customers may place their pre-order either offline at OPPO official concept stores and authorised dealer stores or online at the OPPO Official website and OPPO’s e-commerce partners’ sites such as Lazada, 11Street and Shopee. Consumers may also head to Celcom Blue Cube, Senheng and senQ as alternatives. Pre-order customers may collect their OPPO F9 during its first sales day on 30th August 2018.
