Performance & Battery Life

MediaTek MT6753, 3 GB RAM & 32 GB storage

The MediaTek MT6753 chipset used in the NOTE4 PRO have seen better days as it was released back in Q3 2015. While we do understand that recycling the older components from the NOTE4 keeps the development cost low, but shouldn’t it be updated to at least something more comparable such as the Snapdragon 430 or better?

While we can’t be sure how much savings there would be for the MT6753, but judging from the numbers, it is quite obvious that the performance is not what we’re expecting for a phone with the price tag of RM 999.

Sure, benchmark results rarely speak the same language as real-life usability. Especially when Android 7.0 has improved so much to a point that even low spec phones could run Android smoothly. In my real life situation, other than gaming, general usages such as social media, web browsing and multimedia entertainment pose don’t pose a threat to the user experience.

4500 mAh Battery

Despite the lower efficiency chipset, but with a large built-in battery, at least we’re getting a good user experience and battery life out of the phone. On a particular day with heavy use, I manage to clock 16 hours of usage time with 5 hours plus of screen-on-time.

Xcharge 4.0

Infinix NOTE4 PRO

When it comes to the time to charge up the battery, Infinix’s 5V2A~5V5A Xcharge 4.0 charging adapter is capable of charging the device from 10% to 90% in around 65 minutes. That is quite impressive for the large battery it carries. Since the charging technology is proprietary, it is only achievable with the included charging adapter and USB cable.
