Dyson Malaysia releases new Spot+Scrub Ai robotic vacuum designed for wet and dry floor cleaning

Dyson Malaysia has launched the new Spot+Scrub Ai, its first robot vacuum designed for both wet and dry floor cleaning, capable of detecting, reacting, checking and cleaning while precisely identifying and avoiding obstacles.

The new Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai features a three-stage cleaning system that detects, reacts and verifies cleaning results, using a green laser-like illumination and AI-powered camera to identify hidden stains, adapt in real time, and re-clean areas until fully cleared.

It can recognise nearly 200 types of objects, including everyday obstacles such as cables and socks, and uses LiDAR and AI vision to map home layouts, label rooms, and plan efficient cleaning routes via the MyDyson app. Plus, a dual-laser system helps the robot navigate cluttered spaces while avoiding obstacles like pet waste and household items.

For wet cleaning, the robot uses a self-cleaning microfibre roller with a 12-point hydration system that supplies heated fresh water during operation, ensuring only clean fibres touch the floor. The roller can also extend by 40mm to reach edges and skirting boards for more thorough coverage.

After cleaning, a bagless cyclonic dock with 10 Dyson root cyclones automatically empties dry debris, while the roller is washed with a heated antibacterial solution and dried with warm air to reduce odour and mould build-up.
