Cadence works out new partnership with Intel Foundry to advance Team Blue’s 14A process
Cadence has announced an expanded multi-year collaboration agreement with Intel Foundry to advance Design Technology Co-Optimization targeting Intel’s next-generation process technologies, beginning with Intel 14A.
Both companies are working together to develop production-ready process design kits for the Intel 14A node, combining Cadence’s agentic AI-driven electronic design automation software and design IP solutions with Intel’s manufacturing and packaging expertise, with the focus centering on optimizing tools, flows, and methodologies to deliver industry-leading performance, power, and area metrics for high-performance computing and mobile designs.
The output is projected to be a highly accelerated time-to-market for customers, as well as reduced hardware design risk.
President and CEO of Cadnece, Anirudh Devgan, stated that the deeper partnership empowers customers to unlock new levels of efficiency and accelerate the realization of next-generation products.
Meanwhile, Executive VP and GM of Intel Foundry, Naga Chandrasekaran, added that the collaboration reflects Intel Foundry’s continued focus on delivering its technology roadmap and ecosystem by enabling deeper co-optimization at scale.
