Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A in Malaysia. The new smartphones will storm the entry-level market with the attractive price of RM499 (Redmi 6) and RM349 (Redmi 6A).

The main difference between the 2 models is the chipset and the rear camera. The Redmi 6 is touted to be the entry-level dual camera king. Honestly speaking, it is pretty rare to have a dual camera for a phone at this price point, so once again, it will be the key highlight of this smartphone. As for the chipset, the Redmi 6 has an octa-core chipset as opposed to the Redmi 6A’s quad-core.
Pricing & Availability
Both phones will be made available from 25th July onwards at the selected online channel and authorised Mi store and Mi zones. The colour option includes Gold, Black and Blue.
Redmi 6 (3GB + 32GB) will be available in Lazada online store and Shopee online store for RM499.
Redmi 6A (2GB + 16GB) will be available in Lazada online store for RM349.
