Sony Launches The Xperia 1, Pre-Order Starts at RM4299

Sony Malaysia is now officially accepting pre-orders for its flagship Xperia 1 smartphone. The phone packs the best performing components as well as an unorthodox 6.5″ 4K OLED display at 21:9 aspect ratio.

The CinemaWide 21:9 6.5″ 4K HDR OLED display is certainly designed with movie-watching in mind. The Xperia 1 delivers the cinematic ratio with accurate colour accuracies thanks to it’s OLED display. Furthermore, the display is powered by Sony’s very own BRAVIA TV technologies ensuring award-winning movie performance.
The almost bezel-less design is sure to give you the ultimate experience on the phone maximizing immersive-ness where it is gaming, video calling, streaming movie or videos and texting. The widescreen also enables you to have the split-screen function making multi-tasking easier and more convenient than ever.
To add more punches into the mix, the phone supports Dolby Atmos enriching your streaming experience. The sound is developed by with Sony Pictures Entertainment ensuring the ultimate mobile movie experience. Streaming and gaming on this phone are surely going to be a blast!
Other than that, Sony has made the Xperia 1 camera the most advanced one to date. Implementing the Alpha camera series’ autofocus algorithm into the Xperia 1, the algorithm enables the Eye AF(autofocus) previously only available through their Alpha camera lineup. It also delivers continuous burst shooting of 10 fps AF/AE tracking giving you the clearest fast-paced pictures possible. Low light photography is also not a problem it as f1.6 aperture and RAW images are sure to give less noise than JPEG.

The Xperia 1 is available in purple, black and grey. Pre-order can be made at all Sony Stores, Sony Store Online and selected Sony centres. Besides, the phone will also make an appearance on 30th August onwards in Sony Expo 2019 at Centre Court, Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur.
