Samsung brings HDR10+ ADVANCED streaming to Prime Video
Samsung has announced that Prime Video will become the first streaming service to offer HDR10+ ADVANCED on supported titles worldwide from August 2026, with the feature initially available on Samsung’s 2026 TV lineup.
HDR10+ ADVANCED represents the latest evolution of the HDR10+ standard, optimized for modern TVs with larger displays, higher brightness levels, richer color depth, and greater processing power.
It introduces Enhanced Overall Brightness, which uses extended metadata and AI-powered tone mapping to deliver brighter HDR visuals while preserving shadow detail, and Intelligent Motion Smoothing, which uses scene-by-scene metadata to optimize motion processing for smoother sports and action while maintaining the cinematic look of films.
Samsung will integrate HDR10+ ADVANCED into its 2026 TV lineup, with support expected to expand to future products as the HDR10+ ecosystem grows.
