Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026 opens for global proposal submissions

The Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026 campaign is accepting proposals from innovators, startups, researchers, and institutions around the world, including Malaysia, following its global launch at a press conference in Taiwan on May 27.

Organized by the Taiwan International Trade Administration under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the first edition well outpaced expectations, drawing 638 submissions from 55 countries against an original target of just 100. Building on that momentum, this year’s campaign adds a Top 20 Mentorship Program, giving finalists direct access to industry experts to help refine business models, validate market opportunities, speed up commercialization, and build international partnerships.

Last year’s results are already showing up in real deployments. A winning team in Ukraine put Taiwanese medical equipment into healthcare facilities and reinvested its entire prize toward expanding equipment procurement and hospital donations. In Switzerland, Perovskia’s partnership with Everlight Chemical led to research published in Nature, with pilot production expected sometime in 2026. And in the United States, Ideas Lab worked with the Taiwan Institute of Sports Science to deploy AI-powered motion analysis technology, widening access to professional-grade sports training tools.

The campaign arrives as AI, preventive care, and longevity-focused technologies reshape the global health sector, opening up new opportunities across healthcare, hospitality, insurance, workplace wellness, and sports science. With Taiwan’s established strengths in smart healthcare, digital health, and systems integration, the campaign is positioned as a way to scale promising ideas through partnership with Taiwan, particularly as markets like India continue emerging as hubs for digital health and wellness entrepreneurship.

2026 Details

Under the theme of “Designing Healthier Futures Together,” Participants are being asked to build scalable health and wellness solutions using Taiwan’s products, technologies, and business models – all written into a proposal in English and submitted through the official campaign website. Submissions are due by August 5, and cannot be modified once submitted.

The top three winning proposals will each receive US$30,000, while all Top 20 finalists get personalized mentorship, and the six finalists will be invited on a sponsored trip to Taiwan to meet with local enterprises, experience the country’s health innovation ecosystem directly, and compete in the final round.
