Garmin Malaysia launches all-new Descent X10 dive computer

Garmin Malaysia has introduced its latest dive computer: the Descent X10, designed to provide divers with essential dive information at a glance. Here’s a quick look at it.

Garmin Descent X10 dive computer 1

To begin with, the Garmin Descent X10 features an always-on, high-contrast 2.1-inch backlit display with large text for easy viewing in bright sunlight and underwater conditions. It offers multiple dive profiles, including scuba, apnea and gauge modes, and is rated for depths of up to 10 ATM.

Divers can also monitor their depth, dive time, oxygen levels, and no-decompression limit (NDL), with NDL Aware metrics showing how changes in depth affect their remaining bottom time. Plus, its rechargeable battery provides up to 50 hours of dive time or six months in standby mode.

In terms of dive tracking, the Descent X10 pairs with the Garmin Dive smartphone app to automatically upload dive logs, tag locations, and track equipment usage. The app also includes a simulator for practicing dive scenarios before entering the water, while compatible Descent computers can share settings for divers using a backup device. Additionally, a new rental mode allows dive shops and schools to configure the computer according to each user’s skill level.

The new Garmin Descent X10 will be available in Malaysia from 24 December, with a RRP of RM1,549.
