Garmin Edge Explore 3 Cycling Computer Arrives in Malaysia for RM1,799
Garmin Malaysia has announced the Edge Explore 3, a new GPS cycling computer designed to make navigation, ride tracking and fitness monitoring easier for cyclists of all skill levels. Equipped with a vivid touchscreen display, the device offers bike-specific maps, turn-by-turn directions, safety alerts and personalised training plans.

For navigation, the Edge Explore 3 provides multiple route options based on factors such as estimated ride time, elevation and bike type. Its Up Ahead feature also allows cyclists to prioritise points of interest, including coffee shops, restrooms and gas stations, while providing updates on nearby stops along their routes.
Additionally, the cycling computer supports road hazard alerts for reported potholes, road closures and aggressive animals, allowing riders to stay informed and contribute updates. Free Flow Routing is also included to help cyclists find routes with fewer stops, intersections, and slowdowns.
Another useful addition is pin drop navigation, which lets users send locations and points of interest from Google Maps or Apple Maps on a compatible smartphone directly to the Edge Explore 3. The device will then generate a bike-specific route to the selected destination.

Fitness-wise, Garmin is introducing its new Garmin Cycling Coach training plans, offering free personalised workouts that adapt based on performance, recovery and course demands. These plans are designed to help cyclists improve their fitness and are available when paired with a compatible Garmin smartwatch or heart rate monitor.
Other features include Garmin Link for automatically connecting compatible Garmin smartwatches and displaying wrist-based heart rate data. The Edge Explore 3 also supports compatible Bosch smart systems and SHIMANO E-Bike systems, allowing eBike riders to monitor battery status, assist levels and other information.
For additional riding awareness, the device supports LiveTrack location sharing, incident detection, real-time weather alerts, and compatibility with Garmin Varia radars and smart lights. Commuters can also track the carbon savings associated with their daily rides.
Battery life is rated at up to 16 hours under demanding usage conditions, extending to 48 hours in battery saver mode.
