Epson launches Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B with AI picture and Bose sound
Epson has launched the Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B, its latest all-in-one home entertainment projector combining large-scale 4K projection, AI-powered image processing, and integrated Sound by Bose speakers. The device is aimed at consumers wanting a more immersive viewing experience without giving up living space, using an ultra-short-throw design that can project content from 80 to 150 inches while sitting just inches from the wall, removing the need to mount a large display or place a traditional projector across the room.

With an ultra-short throw ratio of 0.16, the EH-LS970B can produce a 120-inch image from roughly 17.3cm away from the screen, or scale up to 150 inches. Its 3LCD laser projection system delivers up to 4,000 lumens of color and white brightness with a contrast ratio above 5,000,000:1, aimed at keeping images bright and clear even in well-lit rooms. The projector produces a 4K on-screen image with 8.3 million pixels for added detail across movies, sports, and games.
Image processing is handled by a new AI-powered TV chip that analyzes content in real time and adjusts the picture automatically for each scene. AI Super Resolution sharpens fine details, while AI Picture Quality adapts the image based on what’s being shown. Additional features like Dynamic Colour Booster, Local Contrast, and De-contour Processing further refine color, contrast, and gradients for smoother, more natural-looking visuals across different content types.
On audio, the EH-LS970B integrates a 20W 2.1-channel Sound by Bose speaker system, delivering room-filling sound and bass without needing a separate speaker setup. A Bluetooth Speaker Mode also lets the projector double as a standalone audio system when not in use for video. Built-in Google TV brings together streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube in one interface, with Google Cast and voice control offering additional ways to access content.
Setup is handled through the Epson Setting Assistant app, which automatically corrects image distortion and alignment using a photo taken from the user’s device, cutting down on manual adjustment. The projector runs on a laser light source rated for up to 20,000 hours, which Epson says translates to more than 10 years of use at five hours of daily viewing without needing light-source maintenance during that period.
The Epson Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B is now available in Malaysia.
