CheckPointSpot celebrates its next step in data-driven event technology platform with new global HQ setup

 

So here’s what’s happening – Race technology specialist CheckPointSpot has officially set up its Global Headquarters as part of its strategic move to push deeper into Asia’s fast-growing endurance sports market.

Across the region, participation in marathons, triathlons, and cycling events has been climbing steadily, and with that growth comes a lot more complexity. Organisers aren’t just dealing with bigger crowds anymore – they’re juggling logistics, participant experience, and stakeholder expectations all at once, which is why there’s a rising demand for more integrated, tech-driven solutions.

That’s exactly where CheckPointSpot is positioning itself. Instead of just focusing on race timing, the company is expanding into a more comprehensive platform that connects event operations with real-time data, helping organisers and partners run events more efficiently while also giving them deeper insights for planning and engagement.

The new Global Headquarters will act as the main strategic hub – handling leadership, overall direction, and regional partnerships – while aligning its technology roadmap more closely with opportunities across Asia. At the same time, its existing facility in Sungai Buloh will continue serving as the Global Operations Hub, supporting race timing, technical logistics, and on-ground execution.

This dual-structure setup is important because it separates strategy from execution, allowing the company to scale more effectively without compromising reliability across its growing list of events laid by the foundations of a multi-year effort, building a strong presence across multiple Asian markets.

With this new headquarters in place and a new strategy to level up its capabilities in data, technology, and partnerships, CheckPointSpot wants to play a much larger role in shaping how these events are run and experienced – while creating long-term value for organisers, partners, and the wider ecosystem.
