Toshiba REGZA reveals massive 116-inch RGB Mini LED TV
Toshiba’s REGZA has been cooking for some time, and the latest flagship technology they revealed is a massive 116-inch RGB Mini LED TV that the company says will set a new bar for picture quality and immersion.
Slated to hit the market later this year, this is the largest REGZA model ever developed, and it’s loaded with next-gen display tech designed to make on-screen visuals feel almost indistinguishable from real life. For a quick refresh, its RGB Mini LED Backlight system separates the red, green, and blue LEDs, each controlled independently for a superior color gamut that accurate reproduces all the real life things inside this digital display.
Meanwhile, the REGZA Engine ZRα continues to power the device through deep neural network AI, analyzing content in real time, fine-tuning brightness and colors across zones to minimize light bleed and maximize clarity. It also recognizes different types of scenes, like glowing neon signs or sunlit reflections, and adjusts the picture accordingly to deliver lifelike hues and smooth gradations.
And while the 116-inch monster is still in the works, Toshiba has already rolled out many of these advanced features in the REGZA Z770R, a Mini LED TV you can actually buy right now. Powered by REGZA Intelligence, it layers AI into every part of the experience – picture, sound, content recommendations, and even environmental adjustments.
