Taiwan showcases semiconductor innovations and bonds with Malaysian industries at SEMICON SEA 2026
The Precision Machinery Research & Development Center (PMC) and the Taiwan Electronic Equipment Industry Association (TEEIA) launched the “Taiwan Semiconductor Innovative Products” exhibition at SEMICON Southeast Asia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, under the theme “Building a Regional Semiconductor Ecosystem,”, where they showcased Taiwan’s capabilities in advanced packaging, testing, automation, and smart manufacturing.

Speakers at the opening highlighted the strong semiconductor value chain complementarities between Taiwan and Malaysia. While Taiwan leads in integrated circuit (IC) design and wafer fabrication, Malaysia maintains a key role in packaging and testing that leads to huge collaboration opportunities on advanced chips, sensors, and control systems, especially driven by the growth of artificial intelligence, robotics, and data centers.
TEEIA brought together 15 Taiwanese companies to exhibit advanced solutions, aiming to create concrete business opportunities between Taiwanese and Malaysian industries. The pavilion features key components, advanced packaging equipment, and integrated smart manufacturing solutions, attracting interest from professional buyers and media.
