For starters, Samsung Malaysia is advancing its vision of democratizing AI and digital access through initiatives such as the Ministry of Education’s AI-Powered Classroom programme. In collaboration with the Ministry, the brand is transforming traditional classrooms into integrated AI-powered learning environments that promote student engagement, collaboration and digital literacy.

Classrooms are equipped with Galaxy Tab A9+ devices, AI training, and smartboards for educators, as well as air-conditioning systems to create a more comfortable learning environment. Pilot schools including SMK Nilai Impian in Negeri Sembilan and SMKA Naim Lil Banat in Kelantan also provide students and teachers with access to Ace-it, an AI-powered digital learning platform featuring curriculum-aligned content, interactive tools, and an AI assistant that helps reduce teachers’ workload and support more engaging lessons.

In July 2026, Samsung Malaysia and Yayasan Didik Negara formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding to advance digital education in Malaysia. Planned initiatives include Samsung AI Classroom showcases, STEM and AI-focused activities, and student innovation programmes offering hands-on exposure to emerging technologies.

Beyond Malaysia, Samsung for Education supports schools across Southeast Asia and Oceania at different stages of digital adoption. Samsung School provides structured resources and guidance for schools establishing their digital foundations, while schools demonstrating sustained and meaningful technology integration can be recognized as Samsung Digital Lighthouse Schools. Through Samsung Learning Hub, educators can also access online training, teaching resources and certifications to strengthen their digital competencies.

Regional initiatives include support for ImajiNation 2026 in Indonesia, the country’s first nationwide Visual Coding Championship, which targets more than 11,000 participants across 2,000 schools. Samsung contributes technology expertise through weekly enablement sessions ahead of the October Grand Final.

In the Philippines, Samsung for Education was also launched earlier this year, bringing Galaxy devices, Samsung Knox, Samsung Learning Hub and education resources to schools adopting digital learning.

Within the classroom, Galaxy tablets enable digital learning, collaboration, and access to educational resources, while Samsung’s EDLA-certified WAF Interactive Display provides access to services such as Google Classroom and Google Drive. Features including Samsung AI Assistant and Live Transcript further support engagement and accessibility by helping educators create summaries and quizzes and convert spoken instructions into real-time on-screen text.
