Samsung receives TÜV Rheinland’s carbon certifications for 2026 TV and soundbar lineup
Samsung Electronics announced that approximately 34 models in its 2026 TV and soundbar lineup received Product Carbon Reduction and Product Carbon Footprint certifications from TÜV Rheinland as part of the continuous effort in lowering carbon emissions across its premium audio and display products.

The Product Carbon Reduction category sees 14 premium models on the list, including the line of 026 OLED TVs, The Frame Pro, and the HW-Q990H soundbar. On the other hand, 20 products from the likes of Micro RGB and Mini LED TVs are on the Product Carbon Footprint certification list.
TÜV Rheinland grants Product Carbon Footprint certification to products that meet standards for evaluating greenhouse gas emissions across their entire life cycle – from manufacturing and transport to use and disposal. As for Product Carbon Reduction, this is awarded to products that already have the Footprint certification and show a measurable drop in emissions compared to older models.
Notably, the HW-Q990H has acquired both credentials as a big statement, while the Neo QLED is the first 4K/higher TV to receive Product Carbon Reduction certification back in 2021.
