OPPO R9s arrived Malaysia’s shore last month with the absence of its bigger brother – R9s Plus. Today we received the confirmation that OPPO will be launching the R9s Plus on 1st March. Those who are looking to purchase a phablet with great camera capabilities, you might want to take a look at this phone.
Design wise, it will look exactly identical to its brother – the R9s. Take a look at our review of the device if you’re not familiar with it. Even if they might look similar outside, there are a few noteworthy upgrades that come with the larger sibling.
Instead of the 5.5-inch display, the R9s Plus will come equipped with a larger 6.0-inch Full-HD. The internal guts also received a bump, with a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 Octa-core processor paired with a whopping 6 GB RAM. While the internal storage remained with 64 GB, you can easily expand it with a Micro SD card.
The front and rear camera had the same awesome 16-megapixel sensors. The rear camera has received an upgrade with the inclusion of Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The R9s Plus will pack a 4000 mAh battery and backed with OPPO’s VOOC quick charge technology.
Given that the R9s is priced at RM1798, we believe that the R9s Plus should be slightly more expensive with the price slightly less than RM2000. Stay tuned with us for the actual price tag on 1st March.
