Taiwan x Malaysia – Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026 expo deepens global smart health collaboration

Taiwan has officially launched the Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026 Global Proposal Campaign, a government-backed initiative led by Taiwan’s International Trade Administration (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) aimed at accelerating international collaboration in smart healthcare and wellness innovation.

Through the theme of “Designing Healthier Futures Together,” the program invites Malaysia-based healthcare providers, technology companies, and broader industry stakeholders to co-develop scalable solutions spanning smart healthcare systems, sports technology, and advanced cycling ecosystems.

Reflecting Taiwan’s ongoing strategy to position its health and wellness sector as a globally integrated innovation hub rather than a domestic-focused industry, TITA Director General William Liu highlighted the campaign as one of the core policy directions, and with the newly upgraded campaign structure, Taiwan’s role as a strategic global partner in digital health transformation continues to be strengthened.

TAITRA President and CEO Simon Wang further underscored that this year’s campaign will be closely integrated with international trade exhibitions and business-matching programs, effectively linking innovation with commercial pathways across global markets.

Compared to the 2025 edition, which drew 638 proposals from 55 countries, the 2026 campaign raises its target to more than 800 submissions across five continents. This expansion signals not only increased global participation but also Taiwan’s intent to scale its influence in cross-border health innovation ecosystems, particularly across Southeast Asia where demand for digital healthcare solutions continues to grow.

The initiative also featured a “Health AI Hub” showcase, highlighting applications in cycling, fitness technology, and smart healthcare. Participating Taiwanese companies demonstrated solutions ranging from low-carbon mobility systems to precision healthcare and aging-related technologies, reinforcing the country’s positioning at the intersection of hardware manufacturing, healthcare innovation, and sustainability-driven design.

Applications for the Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026 campaign remain open until August 5, with three winning teams set to receive US$30,000 each.
