Sony Malaysia unveils the latest GP-VPT3 Wireless Shooting Grip / Tripod and RMT-VP2 Remote Commander
Sony Malaysia has announced its brand-new “GP-VPT3” Wireless Shooting Grip / Tripod and “RMT-VP2” Remote Commander, both equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and compatible with the Alpha Series and Vlog Camera Series.
Designed for stable handheld shooting, the GP-VPT3 features an ergonomic grip for comfortable use and adjustable angles while supporting cameras up to 1.5 kg and doubles as a tripod.
The grip also enables one-handed operation of key functions like zoom and focus for both photos and videos, regardless of dominant hand. Its head mechanism allows quick switching between selfie-portrait and outward shooting modes, while the tilt function provides flexible angle adjustment.
Functioning as a standalone remote control, the RMT-VP2 features a MOVIE button, Zoom/Focus button, and C1 (Custom) button, enabling remote shutter operation from a distance. With a wireless range of up to 10 meters, the remote commander connects seamlessly to compatible Sony cameras and Xperia smartphones.
Both the grip and remote connect wirelessly to the camera without the need for cables or receivers, preserving the system’s dust- and moisture-resistant design.
Availability
While pricing info has yet to be announced, Sony Malaysia has confirmed that both the new GP-VPT3 and RMT-VP2 will be arriving in the local market starting 13th June 2025.
