Sony announces new 480GB and 240GB models in its CFexpress Type A memory cards lineup
Sony has introduced the latest addition to its CFexpress Type A memory cards lineup: the CEA-G480T (480GB) and CEA-G240T (240GB), designed to meet the needs and budgets of both professional and prosumer users.
Offering compatibility with select Cinema Line and mirrorless Alpha cameras such as ILCE-7M4, ILCE-7SM3, ILCE-7RM5, ILCE-1, ILCE-1M2, ILCE-9M3, FX6, FX3, FX30, FX2, FR7, and PXW-Z200, the new CEA-G480T and CEA-G240T memory cards boast read/write speeds of 1,800MB/s and 1,700MB/s, respectively.
Alongside the 1,920GB and 960GB models, the 480GB and 240GB cards expand Sony’s lineup to deliver high-speed performance across a wider range of capacities.
That said, both the CEA-G480T and CEA-G240T memory cards are expected to arrive in Malaysia sometime in November 2025.
