Samsung brings Vision AI Companion to TVs and monitors at IFA 2025

Samsung used IFA 2025 to unveil its latest step in AI-powered displays – the Vision AI Companion feature that pulls together the company’s most advanced AI capabilities into one intuitive experience across Samsung TVs and monitors. Instead of just being a streaming device, Samsung wants the TV to become a central hub for daily life, offering smarter Bixby interactions, contextualized answers to questions, and more natural conversations with your screen.

Powered by generative AI, it basically brings the “GPT” experience directly to you via the TV screen, and user just have to press the AI button on the remote to start ask about anything, such as movie details to artwork to travel recommendations. It also keeps context in mind, allowing natural follow-up questions without jumping through menus or typing commands.

There’s also Live Translate handles real-time translations for conversations and content; Generative Wallpaper customizes visuals to user preferences; and AI Picture, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, and AI Upscaling Pro adjust viewing and sound quality automatically; an AI Gaming Mode for optimized gameplay, while apps like Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity expand the TV’s role into productivity and task support.

This unified setup means users won’t need to bounce between multiple apps, with Vision AI Companion becoming a central hub for entertainment, productivity, and smart device integration.

Rollout of this feature will begin in late September, starting in Korea, North America, and select European regions, with more markets to follow.
