Samsung TVs are getting Google Photos, turning the big screen into a shared memory hub

Samsung TVs Google Photos Integration

With Samsung pushing its TVs to be the central hub of smart homes, they recently announced that they are working with Google to bring Google Photos directly to the big screens for users a simple way to enjoy photos from trips, hobbies, and everyday moments on a grand scale.

Once the integration rolls out, photos captured on smartphones will seamlessly appear on Samsung TVs in a larger, more cinematic format. Users will be able to explore curated memories organized by people, places, and meaningful moments, while Google Photos also becomes part of Samsung’s Vision AI Companion ecosystem, helping surface memories naturally throughout the day.

Specifically, the photos will come up through various placements within Daily+ and Daily Board, so meaningful memories can appear at contextual moments without users having to actively search for them. Setup is designed to be straightforward as well, with users simply signing in using their Google Account to instantly access their photo library on the big screen. The experience will roll out in phases, starting with Memories, which is planned to launch in early 2026 and will be exclusive to Samsung TVs for six months. This feature focuses on curated stories based on people, locations, and meaningful moments.

Later this year, Create with AI will arrive, introducing themed templates powered by Nano Banana, Google DeepMind’s image generation and editing model, along with features like Remix for art-style transformations and Photo to Video to animate still images. Personalized Results are also planned, allowing users to view related photos as slideshows based on topics such as oceans, hiking trips, or cities like Paris.
