Samsung Pay is now available online as payment option thanks to latest partnership with Fiuu

Samsung is widening its digital payments footprint in Malaysia as Fiuu activates Samsung Pay acceptance across a growing network of e-commerce merchants.

With this, not only is Samsung Pay covering in-store transactions, but also the rapidly expanding online commerce sector from now on, with Fiuu’s role in providing the infrastructure that supports seamless, secure online enablement.

The expanded support now allows consumers to check out on a variety of online platforms, ranging from fashion and electronics to lifestyle, travel, food and beverage, health and wellness, and entertainment, with more categories expected to come online as the rollout progresses. For merchants, the value lies in accessing Samsung’s sizable device user base, offering frictionless checkout, and aligning with mobile-first shopping behaviour that continues to define Malaysia’s digital economy.

Samsung Pay’s compatibility with 11 Malaysian banks gives the service broad card-network coverage, enabling it to reach a large segment of banked users. With Fiuu’s multi-bank acquiring connectivity, merchants can tap into all supported issuers through a single integration, simplifying onboarding and accelerating adoption. Samsung Pay is also now available as a payment option on Samsung’s online store, further reinforcing ecosystem consistency.

One of the standout consumer benefits is the extension of Samsung Rewards Points to online Samsung Pay transactions. Previously, many device-based payment rewards were limited to in-store activity. This update creates a unified experience where users accumulate points regardless of where they pay. Those points can be redeemed through the brand’s rewards catalogue, including vouchers for F&B merchants and in-house products.
