PNY @ COMPUTEX 2025: All about that graphics cards

At COMPUTEX 2025, PNY celebrated its 40th anniversary with a booth that blended eye-catching design and practical upgrades.

One of the most talked-about displays on the show floor came from PNY’s showcase of fully chrome-plated RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 graphics cards. These limited-edition models featured a mirror-like chrome finish across the shroud, heatsink, and backplate, with only the PCB left untouched. Created purely for exhibition, the company confirmed that the cards are not for sale, at least not yet.

PNY stated the chrome GPUs were designed to commemorate its 40th year in the industry. However, the company hinted that if community demand is strong enough, it may consider bringing them to market in the future.

Alongside the chrome concepts, PNY introduced a more grounded addition to its consumer GPU lineup: new RTX 5060 models designed for a wide range of system builds.

For users favoring subtle aesthetics and compact setups, two minimalist RTX 5060 variants were unveiled—one with a dual-fan layout and another in a single-fan configuration. Both lack RGB lighting and are tailored for small form factor builds and clean system designs.

For those who prefer bold visuals, PNY also revealed the RTX 5060 Epic-X edition. This version features a triple-fan cooling system and full-spectrum RGB lighting, targeting gamers and PC enthusiasts who prioritize both performance and visual flair.

PNY’s Computex showing reflects broader industry trends where both extravagant concept designs and practical, user-oriented GPUs can coexist. While the chrome-plated RTX 5090 and 5080 serve as a brand statement, the more accessible RTX 5060 options signal PNY’s continued focus on meeting the diverse needs of the mainstream market.
