Canon’s latest MAXIFY Megatank GX5170 printer officially arrives in the Malaysian market
Canon Malaysia has just debuted its new MAXIFY Megatank GX5170, a high-volume color inkjet printer built for efficient, low-cost printing tailored for small to mid-sized businesses.
Utilizing the brand’s refillable ink tank system, the new GX5170 offers up to 14,000 colour or 6,000 mono prints per refill and up to 21,000 and 9,000 pages in Economy Mode. Thanks to all-pigment inks, it ensures sharp text and vivid graphics that resist water, smudging, and highlighters.
Furthermore, the printer provides fast print speeds of up to 24 ipm (mono) and 15.5 ipm (color), supports two-sided auto-duplex printing, and holds up to 350 sheets of plain paper. It also accommodates glossy paper, labels, envelopes, and banners up to 1.2 meters long.
Designed for shared office use, the GX5170 includes wired LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity, supports secure protocols like TLS 1.3 and WPA3-Enterprise, and can be managed remotely through the Canon PRINT app. Plus, maintenance is simple thanks to a user-replaceable maintenance cartridge and a 2-line LCD for easy operation. A semi-translucent output tray also allows users to check paper levels at a glance.
