AGI @ COMPUTEX 2025: Continuing the good track record with even better memory product and new AI-based tool

At COMPUTEX 2025, AGI returned with a bigger goal to deliver more speed, performance, and meet the needs of modern users across platforms by showcasing the new stuff they are offering.

AGI’s spotlight product this year is the AI858 SSD that is part of its new AI series. It boasts read speeds up to 14,000 MB/s and write speeds up to 12,000 MB/s, positioning it as the fastest in the company’s current lineup. Alongside it, AGI showcased two prototype Gen5 SSDs: Project P14 and Project P10.

Project P14 matches the AI858’s top-tier performance with 14,000 MB/s read and write speeds, aiming to push the limits of Gen5 throughput. Project P10, on the other hand, takes a more compact approach with a slimmer heatsink design, offering slightly reduced speeds at 10,000 MB/s read and 8,000 MB/s write. It’s tailored for small-form-factor PCs and laptops where space efficiency matters.

To support these high speeds, AGI introduced a new AI stability test tool that monitors sustained read/write output. Early demos suggested that the company’s Gen5 drives offer improved stability compared to Gen4 models, appealing to users handling large files or intensive workloads.

In addition to storage, AGI updated its TurboJet UD858 DDR5 memory line, and its kits now come in multiple color variants to give system builders more aesthetic flexibility. Performance hasn’t taken a back seat, with speeds ranging from 6000 MT/s to 8400 MT/s, targeting everyone from mainstream users to overclocking enthusiasts.

One of the more consumer-focused announcements was the TF338 microSD Express card. Set to release on June 10, which is one day before the rumored Switch 2 launch, the card is designed to deliver faster load times and improved performance for the next-gen handheld. While full specs are still under wraps, the timing and branding make it a notable option for gamers planning to upgrade.

AGI also refreshed its portable SSD lineup with the EDM38 Pro and ED138 Pro models. The EDM38 Pro nearly doubles the speed of its predecessor, hitting 4000 MB/s read and 3600 MB/s write. The smaller ED138 Pro keeps things compact while still offering a speed bump to 550 MB/s read and 500 MB/s write.

AGI’s COMPUTEX 2025 presence highlights a broader strategy to cater to both performance-driven desktop users and mobile gamers. With Gen5 SSDs approaching their theoretical limits, portable drives evolving for creators on the go, and memory kits catering to aesthetic preferences, the company is positioning itself as a versatile player in the consumer storage market. The Switch 2-specific microSD release further signals AGI’s intent to expand into gaming-focused segments.
